So you're in love... and you're planning to come to Italy to tie the knot, or on your honeymoon?
Maybe you're about to surprise your girlfriend with a proposal in the most romantic Country of the world..
I am here to tell your story.
Unwind, relax and take a little journey throughout Italy with my photographs.
And this is from an intimate ceremony in Santa Costanza Church in Rome. I’ve always cherished the beautiful light and overall magical atmosphere of this ancient church (“ceremonies” category)
I’m so thrilled that my images were seen and judged by some of the most influential professionals in our industry, so tonight I choose to take a moment to celebrate and savor this achievement, that might be small, but means a lot to me though.
I’m so excited I can finally share another preview from Marie Elizabeth and Jon’s romantic honeymoon shoot in the Eternal City.
Developing images in my digital darkroom and seeing all the work coming together in the end, the story unfolding, is what makes me happy the most about photography. I’m not very good at talking or writing (and English is not my mother tongue).. guess I’ll leave it to the pictures!
As Valentine’s day is approaching, Cristina at The Wedding Care and I were thinking of a sweet little gift for you, to share with your loved ones.. we put together this Valentine’s day card, arranging fragrant tulips, freesias and begonias, and indulged into romanticism with sultry dark pinks and winding steams.
The blossoms frame a quote by Italian writer Cesare Pavese:
Ignota agli dei è la veemenza con la quale si abbracciano i mortali.
Unknown to the gods is the vehemence with which mortals embrace.
Here’s the printable files (A5 Folded, US Lettersize), if you wish to give it to someone special.. We’d love to make your Valentine’s day even more romantic!
I knew this session was going to be special when Nikita contacted me to plan a day visiting the most beautiful spots in Rome. I love it when a man plans to surprise his loved one with a romantic photo-session!
As we strolled through the streets we were almost alone in the Eternal City, it was a really wonderful sensation. We covered some of the most distinctive landmarks like the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps and of course the Colosseum, then enjoyed a coffee at Splendor Parthenopes to unwind and relax, and strolled down the banks of the river Tevere to find a favorable perspective of Castle Sant’Angelo. It was a wonderful day and a pure joy to photograph this couple.
How delightful! Our Mediterranean inspired lemon-grove shoot in Sorrento has been featured on beautiful wedding blog Hochzeitsguide.. Thank you, Susanne, for the publication and for your kind words on our work (which, by the way, I had to translate as I don’t speak German).
Today, besides drinking too much cappuccino, I’ve being finalizing the designs for our products’ packaging and I’m really honored to have them custom made by the bookbinding masters of an old artisanal school in Naples. I love the possibility of giving you a unique product, crafted and designed for you only.
The day we visited the book-bindery I was enchanted: I admire mastery more than everything, I love getting lost in details and how they were made. Getting lost among scraps of precious canvases, silks and ribbon, smelling that mixture of paper, glue and ink (that typical book scent!), I was thankful that someone had fought against all kind of difficulties, to perpetrate this art in a difficult city like Napoli.
I’m so proud that F+Z love story photo-session has been featured on Elizabeth Anne’s Designs! We’ve had a great time strolling and taking pictures around Rome, and I’d love you to follow us in our wanderings along river Tevere, among ancient landmarks and modern architecture.. Read the full story over at Elizabeth Anne Designs.
From the first time I walked into the tiny, magical lemon grove at I Giardini di Cataldo, in my hometown Sorrento, I knew I had to plan a shooting there. This location embodies perfectly an understated and spontaneous character, typical of Sorrento and Amalfi Coast gardens.. A few months (and a decent amount of work) later, the shooting took place, and it’s now featured on one of my favorite wedding blogazine, stylish and cutting edge Magnolia Rouge.
I wish you could smell the rosemary and jasmine that were used in the flower decoration, and feel the warm caress of our southern sun on your skin.. but I guess the images will have to suffice!
Nikita and Nataly were such a joy to photograph! I can’t wait to show you all the wonderful images of their Roman love story photo-session.. This is just a sneak peek, dancing with the Colosseum as a backdrop.
